Inspiration Avenue: Mystique

Foggy Pelicans, January 22, 2009 - Sony Cybershot

Here on the west coast of Florida we rarely get fog during the day. But due to the current cold water, warm air circumstance, a giant bank of sea fog rolled in off the Gulf yesterday. These pelicans didn't seem to mind, though.

Don't you think Foggy Pelican sounds like the name of a great old British pub? Maybe I watch too many movies.

Please stop by Inspiration Avenue and see the amazing work being submitted for the Weekly Challenge.

Lovely image Chris - it has a great sense of space and the fog does give a mystical air to it - nice work!

Off to the "Foggy Pelican" now for a glass of wine ;)

Hi Chris, this is so beautiful and mystical! I was so busy adding each person's entry to the blog, I forgot to visit them all to comment:))

Thank you, girls! I liked that this shot was so different from my usual bright sun, deep blue water shots. I was standing on a barge when I took this - the only reason I got so close to the pelicans.

I think it's a wonderful title and yes it doesn sounds like an old pub! ;-) Gorgeous shot Chris, you're just amazing! I didn't realize you didn't get alot of fog there, I thought all coastal areas did - very cool!

Yes fog does give it that mystical feeling, we get lots of fog in Britain but I have to say I havent found a pub called that yet! Sounds good though!! ♥
