Inspiration Avenue: Rust/Cinnamon

Rust, November 15, 2009 - Nikon D40 with 55 mm lens

My contribution to the Inspiration Avenue topic "Rust/Cinnamon".

Naturally, when I wanted to stumble across one of those beautiful rusted pieces of metal I could not find one to save my life. So I go back to what I know best: flowers.

Those are absolutely lovely. But you're right... sometimes rust can be unexpectedly beautiful.

I think my favorite rust/cinnamon image I've stumbled across in real life is the strange yellow moss growing on a headstone in churchyard.

What a great season for bursts of color.

Thanks, Christina. My whole life revolves around color. I am always drawn to it, in any situation.
