Inspiration Avenue: Travel

Train Tracks, October 2005 - Sony Cybershot

A thousand things occur to me when someone says the word travel, but the first one is always trains. I love trains and all things train-related. It's genetic; I get it from my father. It's not technically new material, as I took it on a trip to Chattanooga four years ago, but I processed it today. You think that counts?

Thank you! I wanted that disappearing perspective so I stood right on the tracks to get the shot.

I think that definitely counts!! ;-)
This is fabulous Chris and I'm with you, trains are SO cool!! Ahhh, if only those tracks could talk, what stories they could share!

Reminds me of the Glen Miller song. When my sister was little, she was under the impression that the lyrics were "Paddy, me boy, is that the train to chatanoogoo." Funny how these little things stay in your mind. She's 35 now!

It definitely counts!! It's wonderful!! I love how the track rounds off into the distance leaving you wondering where it's going to.

Thanks, you guys! The whole time we were there we kept saying "Chattanooga Choo Choo". Because we are dorks.

Such a beautiful photograph! Something about train tracks, it just makes you think of possibilities, like they are never-ending. Perfect for the travel theme!
